As the Chair of the Sullivan County Democratic Committee, I have not as yet issued a detailed statement regarding the Governor, and the report released…I hesitated as I hadn’t read the entire report. I have now read it. A criminal charge has now been filed. The allegations are both repugnant and numerous. It is now time for Governor to resign, period. Early on in the pandemic, the Governor added the following language to the state seal, “Performance * Integrity * Pride – I work for the People”. I agreed with the sentiment and have added it to our Town seal at times. Mr. Governor, you can no longer work for the people. For the good of our State, you must resign.
