National Voter Registration Day

From property taxes and police funding to trash pickup and school curriculum, local officials and the decisions they make have direct effects on our daily lives. Registering and voting provides you the opportunity to actively participate in our self-governing democracy.
That’s why we are a proud supporter of National Voter Registration Day, the nation’s largest nonpartisan civic holiday with more than 5 million voters registered since 2012.
Here’s how YOU can celebrate democracy:
★ Register to vote or check your registration online. For more information on registering to vote, check with the Board of Elections or call them at 845-807-0400. If you’ve recently moved, make sure you’re registered at your new address.
★ Register to vote in person on September 19th at these locations:
Ethelbert B. Crawford Library, 393 Broadway, Monticello NY from 3 – 5 pm.
Liberty Library, 189 North Main St, Liberty, NY from 10 am to 4 pm.
Or stop in to the Sullivan County Board of Elections, 100 North Street, Monticello, NY from 9 am – 5 pm any Monday – Friday.
