Peter Briggs to be Honored by Thompson Dems

(Monticello) The Town of Thompson Democratic Committee will be honoring retiring councilman Peter Briggs at a Gala 2019 Buffet Dinner. Briggs has been a town councilman for the past 16 years. He is also a retired Social Studies teacher at Fallsburg Junior / Senior High School. The Gala will be held on Thursday, September 26^th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Albella, 50 Jefferson St., Monticello, NY. It includes an all you can eat buffet with cash bar for $50 per person. The public is invited. The Democratic town candidates endorsed for the November election are incumbent Supervisor Bill Rieber for re-election and town zoning board member Ryan Schock for Town Councilman. The Thompson Democratic Committee has also endorsed Mamakating Justice Cynthia Dolan for County Court Judge and former County Legislator David Sager for County Clerk. Incumbent County Legislator Ira Steingart is endorsed for re-election in district 8 and Monticello Trustee George Nikolados is endorsed for County Legislator in district 9.
