Bethel, NY— February 20, 2024 — The Sullivan County Democratic Committee held its convention on February 20, 2024. By unanimous vote, the Committee endorsed the following candidates:
Josh Riley for Congress in the 19th District, Michele Frazier of Delhi, NY for State Senate District 51, Paula Kay of Rock Hill, NY for Assembly District 100, and B. Elton Harris for Sullivan County Coroner.
Riley will challenge first term Congressman Marcus Molinaro in a re-match from 2022, when he lost by a narrow margin. Frazier will challenge first term State Senator Peter Oberacker. Kay’s challenger is currently unknown. She is running for the seat currently held by long time Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, who is retiring. Harris has been Sullivan County Coroner for more than 25 years.
“Sullivan County’s Democrats enthusiastically support this slate of candidates and are ready to roll up their sleeves to achieve a win for all of them in November,” said Chair Anne Hart.
